your plans going down in flames
makes living life uncomfortable
you search to place the blame

only to find he is helpless
without a God divine

Who shows himself more than ready
to quell a troubled mind
enabling one to have more strength
and face each day of time

through the power of His Spirit
circumstances are your tests
to bring about maturity
developing what is best

of character traits made fertile
the Spirit’s fruit will grow
where others can see Christ on earth
a God that they could know

as growth takes hold the fruit shall come
and grace is God’s own way
in showing how much He loves your life
He promised He would stay

so look to Christ each day in prayer
each day we should decrease
for living in the Spirit’s power
will bring a quiet peace
